Physiological ecology in a changing world I am a scientist and educator studying symbioses and microbiomes in marine and terrestrial systems at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. I apply energetics, stable isotope biogeochemistry, and DNA analyses to study how acute environmental stressors and long-term physiological legacies affect organismal performance, nutrient exchanges, and stress biology. As a Research Faculty and School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST) Early Career Research Fellow, I explore diverse research topics in coral reef and alpine lake ecology, with an emphasis on student mentorship, equity, diversity, and inclusion. |
